CIB W70 International Conference in Facilities Management
The MSc/Diploma in Facilities Management is one of the most long-established postgraduate programmes in facilities management internationally. It develops competencies and skills to enable its graduates to manage facilities effectively for a changing business world. Taught from the perspective of strategic facilities management, graduates of the course gain the skills needed to realise the strategic potential of FM. The course is focussed on industrial relevance, ensuring that graduates of the course are quickly able to make a positive and effective contribution to the success of their working environment.
The growth of facilities management offers great opportunities for FM professionals who are competent in the core roles required for 21st century facilities management.
The course is fully accredited by both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM).
For MSc level entry, students must hold:
- A good (minimum 2:2) honours degree in a relevant discipline
And/or
- Full membership of a relevant professional institution
And/or
- Equivalent UK/overseas qualifications which may be considered on an individual basis
- Students admitted onto the Diploma course who perform well may be allowed to transfer to the MSc course
The course is offered via full time (one year), part time (two years) and attendance free distance learning (two or three years). Part time students attend classes on a day-release basis. Many of our part time and distance learning students are in highly demanding employment. These students can opt to reduce the level of study per year and increase the study period to a maximum of six years, thus gaining a respected postgraduate degree whilst contributing to the CPD requirements of their professional bodies.
