My first eight months as a Fieldwork Assistant...

What a fantastic eight months I've had at FieldMouse. It's flown by!

My time here has been filled with training, learning, celebrations, teamwork and getting to know my wonderful colleagues.

It's been a joy recruiting participants and supporting a range of interesting and important projects. From Defra research and AI companions to research about Northern Irish farmers, political research and much more, I've had a ball.

I've also had some memorable experiences outside of project work including our Christmas party in Chester (full of character), the insightful FieldMouse event – Rural Matters at the Farmers Club and an eye-opening company away day led by master coach John Borland, followed by a delicious Balti curry in Birmingham's famous Balti Triangle.

One of the highlights has been working with such a supportive team, both professionally and personally. It's a group that can share ideas, offer encouragement, recommend great TV shows to watch, and keep everyone entertained with their latest pet shenanigans or amusing story.

I'm really looking forward to more FieldMouse adventures and building on everything I've learned so far.
